Ms. K has lived in her home for 20 years now. She is a big believer in tackling one project at a time and has finally come around to a concern that she has had for several years now... her gutters. Ms. K called PGRS out to come out and give her an estimate on both attic systems and gutters. Her project consultant, Chase, arrived on time and ready to help in any way that he could. Mr. W discovered a leak on his rear chimney, so he called upon PGRS to take a look. Davin met Mr. W and saw the chimney leak was due to poor installation and improper flashing. After a thorough inspection and reviewing all the photos with Mr. W, he was aware that his chimney was not flashed properly and causing other issues to his siding due to poor gutter install as well. Mr. W was very thankful that we looked at all angles of the problem and did not just fix what he thought was the problem but found the source and provided a solution to fix the real issue. Mr. W now has a leak free chimney and proper gutter system to prevent the problem from happening again.
Mr. and Mrs. H had a leak above the garage. Davin met with them to see the issue and provide a full roof inspection. After an examination he found the roof was leaking due to improper flashing above the garage where the roof line met the wall. Mr. H agreed that the roof needed to be repaired and said that he would call us back out when it was time to replace the whole roof. Mr. H now has a leak free roof and a little more time before a full replacement.
Mrs. B has lived in her home since it was about new and knew that after she noticed one gutter starting to leak that she should have them replaced. Mr. W had never been on his roof because of a back injury so he wasn't sure what shape it was in. His project consultant went on the roof and not only took pictures but used a GoPro so they could watch a video of the inspection. Once they watched the video, Mr. and Mrs. W were surprised that they didn't have more leaks. Mr. G was under the impression that everything could just be lifted back into place and re-secured. After close inspection of the rafter tails and hanging materials, T.J. discovered that the construction practices used to install the fascia on that side of the house largely played a role in why it came loose during the storm. T.J. explained to Mr. G and sent him photos of why it happened and how the repair would need to take place to properly install everything on that side of his home. After some discussion of whether or not to make an insurance claim, Mr. G decided that he wanted to go ahead and get the work completed ASAP. Mr. G's right side fascia, gutter, and soffit are like new again, and he should never have to worry about that side ever coming loose.
Mr. B is a contractor that does a lot of work in the area. He typically does the roof on his jobs himself, but as he has aged, he has looked for a company to partner with on his jobs. He met with Jose and spoke to him about everything they do, and Jose told him a little bit about PGRS and our values. He was convinced and hasn't regretted that decision. Mr. and Mrs. H’s home was built three years ago. Immediately after they moved in, they had some issues with water flowing over the gutter on their back porch. The builder came back out and added a roof diverter to help the water flow into the gutter. They were still having issues with the same area and called PGRS to come to look at it. They met with Jose, their project consultant, and he listened to their issues and started his inspection. Jose determined that the drip edge at the edge of the roof was installed incorrectly. The drip edge was behind the gutter allowing water to flow off the roof and behind the gutter. That, along with the diverter they installed was backing water into that area, causing the water flow under the shingles and find its way in through a nail head. Jose presented a solution to add Ice & Water Shield on the lower section of the roof and add proper kick-out flashing to help the water flow into the gutter as well as installing the drip edge properly for water to flow into the gutter rather than behind. Mr. and Mrs. H now have a leak-free home once again.
Mr. W had an insurance claim, a large tree fell on his roof and did significant damage to the shingles and decking. He had multiple estimates but felt the most comfortable with PGRS. Mr. H has lived in his home for 14 years and has made some improvements recently to help with maintenance and efficiency. He also had to replace his rear basement entry door recently as it had sustained some water damage. Mr. and Mrs. R were having some work performed on their home, and the repair person told them they needed to get their roof replaced soon.
